How does Graphology compares to other forms of personality Analysis tools ?
Graphology can analyse a person's personality without his knowledge that he is being analysed. (of course not without his consent.) Thus reducing the possibility of inaccuracies due to conscious or unconcious effort by the subject to affect the result. Distortion of the result due to the subject's knowledge that he/she is being analysed is common in most Question-&-Answer type of personality analysis tools. Some tools may claims to have better precision, but since a person is growing and changing dynamically every second, high precision is not really helpful. It's better to use graphology to analyse the handwriting of a pure untainted subject , rather than to put the subject under unnatural stress of a long questionaire. Secondly, a single personality questionaire may reveal a single dimension of personality. But two handwriting samples of the same person at different occasion may reveals different behaviour characteristics.

Can Graphology tell Future ?
In a strict sense ... No, but in reality ... Not really No.
Graphology is an art/science of intepretating. It may associate a certain handwriting to a particular behavourial or personality traits eg. A Right slant implies extrovert. But it can't say any thing beyond that. Whether an extrovert may be successful in future is unknown.
But if someone is able to prove that an extrovert has a significantly better chance of being successful in future, then we may deduce from handwriting the potential of a person with a right slant. Usage of Graphology for recuitment of key personnel uses similar assumption.

My handwriting can changes very quickly, so how can graphology decipher my personality accurately ?
Our Handwriting is like our Face, our speech and action. A stroke of writing that shows friendly traits is like a smile on the face. A person who normally writes illegibly but writes clearly when he or she is aware that someone important is going to read it ; is like someone who is sloppy at home but dress nicely when going to a formal dinner. Our handwriting , like our face or body language, changes with our mood. And some people are really too temperamental to be predictable. But every one has got some part of him or her that is hard to change, even if he is temperamental.

My handwriting changed drastically because of a conscious effort to make my illegible handwriting legible; is it possible ?
A conscious effort to make handwriting more legible is a sign of wanting to communicate. Legibility is about making sure people can read your writing . And you would be viewed as willing to make clear communication. People who communicate clearly would probably be honest. That's a positive side. On the other hand, the change for better legibility might be intepreted as a 'conforming' act. The society might encourage communication or nice looking, neat handwriting. There is nothing bad about conforming. But sometime it could be viewed as a loss of originality. The person who asked this question actually agrees that the change has resulted in better clarity in his communication.

Does it matters to the graphologist if the writer is right-handed or left-handed ? Does handedness affect the rules of interpretation for a piece of handwriting, written by a left-handed writer? What about left-handed "hook writer"? (writing with the wrist bent)
If we base on the principle of handwriting that states that "handwriting is brain-writing" , ideally there should not be any effect on the interpretation, regardless of whether the writer is left-handed or right-handed. It does not matter even if he wrote it with his/her foot or mouth.
It's the brain that willed the handwriting to look a certain way, not the hand.
It is especially true if the lefties wrote the script in a position which he/she feels completely comfortable and in control.
Similar explanation is valid for a right-handed writer.

Why does graphologist doing analysis ask for information such as handedness, age and gender ?
The information such as handedness, age and gender are required generally for record purposes and to aid in future research. It is also because graphology generally can not determine for sure about a person's handedness, age and gender. A person may be a male but has personality that has been stereo typed by the particular society to be femine. An old man may be young at heart, and a young person may be comparatively mature for her real age.

Can I Bluff a Graphologist by forging my writing ?
You can't unless you are a very good actor, but even good actors may get tired.Someone who tries to forge a handwriting has to fight against his own stamina. And if he gets too tensed up or too tired , he quickly reveals his true self. It is common place for us to change the style of our handwriting when expecting to please a certain reader. Such is a kind of pseudo forgery. In a more positive interpretation, it is a necessary act of continuous character growth. For example, someone may be by nature an introvert but really liked to be more extrovert. He may try to appear extrovert. If he succeed he can then be extrovert effortlessly. If he gets tired of the strain to be someone else, he will fail and revert back to his old self. Similarly , someone who wishes to be identified as extrovert by his handwriting forces himself to writing with a right slant. It's like telling himself constantly of his desire to change. Once again he may or may not succeed.

Is Graphology a Science ?
Graphology itself is a Science, because it is about collection of knowledge to enable future deduction. eg. If it is statistically established that people with a right slant in their handwriting exhibits extrovert characteristic, then the next time we see a right-slanted writing, we may deduce that the writer is possibly an extrovert. Although it may not be comparable to scientific equation like 'F=ma', it may be liken to the science of psychology. A smiling face equate happiness is a common science.

Is Graphology an Art ? (as in ... art of graphology)
I would say that the process of analysis performed by the Graphologist is an art. It is about judgement. Beside judging on the physical aspect of a handwriting, the graphologists may need to resolve conflicts. For example, one physical aspect of the sample may indicate an extrovert, while another physical traits indicate an introverts. The graphologist will then need to be able to tell which is the more dominant traits, perhaps by counting the number of occurence of each traits. Although most of us knows the mathematical science of 'speed=distance / time' , we judge if a speeding car is slow enough for us to cross the road like an inborn art, without resorting to the calculator. An art is usually aquired by practice (I have forgotten how many times I crossed the road) .

What is Graphoanalysis?
Graphoanalysis is a scientific system of identifying and assessing the character and personality of an individual through a study of handwriting. The techniques used are based on a well-defined, standardized method of 1) identifying strokes, 2) relating these strokes to specific personality traits, and 3) evaluating the relative strength of the interrelated traits.
